The leader in
Medium Frame black cow*. Buyer* from 5
dates and 2 provinces filled the house to
capacity. Many cows spent summer on
drought stricken pastures in southern Okla
homa and Texas. Bulk of cows in adequate
flesh condition for confident breed back,
however 25 pcrccrS of offerings would be
borderiine as to breeding back in timely
manner. Considerable rain received prior
to sale day. Cows evenly split between fall
and spring calvers. Several of the long
breds already with baby at side. Though
these babies were vaccinated due to the dif
ficult conditions they were bom into and
looked decent despite the stress, many buy
ers preferred the long breds to the pairs.
Thus price for long breds and pain about
the same. All cows pretested for bangs,
pregnancy, and age.
