Flesh conditions of feeders medium; calves medium to fleshy. Excel lent rain last week throughout Oklahoma and especially covering the big wheat country in western Oklahoma. Heavy thun derstorms Sunday and Monday dropped several tornadoes and 2-6 plus inches of tain in central and eastern Oklahoma. Over 12 tornadoes reported but damage relative ly light due to limited number in urban areas. Slaughter cows 1.00 lower. Slaugh ter bulls 1.00-2.00 lower. Packer demand light Demand remains very good for thin cows to return to country. 475 cows and bulls sold with 60 percent to packets. Bulk of cows in adequate flesh condition for confident breed back, however 25 pcrccrS of offerings would be borderiine as to breeding back in timely manner. Considerable rain received prior to sale day. Cows evenly split between fall and spring calvers. Several of the long breds already with baby at side. Though these babies were vaccinated due to the dif ficult conditions they were bom into and looked decent despite the stress, many buy ers preferred the long breds to the pairs. Thus price for long breds and pain about the same. All cows pretested for bangs, pregnancy, and age.
