MERCERSBURG (Franklin
Co.) The Franklin County 4-H
Beef Club held its annual junior
market steer show recently at
the Franklin Country Fair.
Judge for the show was Gary
Dean of Strasburg.
The show started with the fit
ting and showing competition
with 20 4-H members competing
in three different classes accord
ing to age. The champion fitter
and showman award went to 15
year old Matt Hawbaker of
Mercersburg.
Matt Hawbaker, Mercersburg,
also won grand champion and
Jodie Myers, Greencastle, won
the reserve champion.
