SEPTEMBER 30, 1998 DELMARVA BROILER/FRYER MARKET. FEDERAL-STATE Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds wu light and unaggressive. Seller offer ings remained readily available and were slow in clearing on the 3 pound and heavier sizes; lighter weights were in fairly good balance. Live supplies were mostly mod erate; weights were desirable to heavy. Processing schedules were moderate to heavy. Lest than trucklot asking prices were unchanged at 62 to 76 cents. Trade sentiment was weak. In die parts complex breast items were in excess and difficult to place. Leg items were fully sufficient for current inquiry. Wings were available and competitively priced to stimulate buyers interest. ESTIMATED SLAUGHTER OF BROILER/FRYERS IN DELMARVA (000) ESTIMATED ACTUAL AVG. WEIGHT ACTUAL AVG.
