CATTLE: Compared to Tuesday,
slaughter steers sold 1.00-1.50 lower,
instances 2.00 lower on high Choice and
Prime steers. Buyers were very price con
scious and did not seem to be impressed by
the high quality types, as premiums were
very tare. Holstein steers were weak to .50
lower and the light test of slaughter heifers
sold mostly 1.00 lower. Slaughter cows
sold .50- 1.00 lower and slaughter bull
prices were 1.00-3.00 lower. Supply
included 44 percent slaughter steers arid 33
percent slaughter cows.

tion, vealeis sold mostly 1.00 lower. The
slaughter calf market held steady on a light
offering. Demand for Holstein bull calves
was very good, especially towards the end
of the sale. Holstein bulls returning to feed
sold 10.00-25.00 higher. Holstein heifer
calf trading remains active, with some heif
ers as much as 40.00 higher. Around 85
percent of supply returned to feed.
