First, for all Junior Jersey Asso ciation members who are heading to Harrisburg for the State Junior Dairy Show, be sure to attend the annual meeting and pizza party held Sunday, Sept 20, at 7 p.m. The meal is free for all members and will be served in a meeting room on the second floor of the main exhibition hall. During the Junior Dairy Show on the 21st, a committee will be watching from ringside to select animals to represent Pennsylvania at the North American Interna tional Livestock Exhibition (NAILE) at Louisville, Kentucky. If your animal is selected, you’ll have the chance to pack your bags and enjoy the oppor tunity of a lifetime, competing with Jerseys from across North America. Members of the Howard County Anti que Farm Machinery Club Inc. are preparing for its third annual How ard County Farm Herit age Days. The event is to be held on Sept. 26-27 at Mt. Pleasant Farm in Woodstock, Maiyland, about 5 miles west of historic Ellicott City. The farm a 232-acre tract, had been in the Brown family for eight generations until it was deeded to including a working blacksmith shop, have been pre served, as has the bicen tennial tulip poplar and the gardens surrounding the house. On Sunday morning at 10 a.m. a live blue grass gospel church ser vice will be held. The event allows the farmers to share their love and knowledge of historic farm life in Howard County.
