Claas of America offers the RU
450 row Independent
converging corn head for Its
self-propelled forage harvesters
The RU 450 enables corn to be
harvested no matter the row
spacing or direction harvested
and features a working width of
14'9”.
The head features three rotating
drums which cut and deliver the
crop Double transport discs on
each drum capture the corn
plants for crop delivery. The
mowing disc, located under the
transport discs, cuts the crop
and then delivers It to the feed
augers The three-symmetrical
rotors assure even crop flow to
the feed rollers.
The chalnless rotor drive system
is made up of universal drive
shafts and oil bath gearboxes
Drives are protected by low
maintenance overload clutches
With fewer moving parts than a
conventional corn head, the RU
450 requires less maintenance
resulting in higher output
