A6-Lancaster Fanning, Saturday, September 12, 1998 Daily National Grain Summary Su Joseph, MO Thu Sep 10, 1996 USDA-MO Dept Ag Market News Grain and soybean bids climbed higher as traders position themselves ahead of tomorrow’s USDA Crop Production report. Good export sales this week for all com modities also offered support to bids. Wheat 1 to 4 cents higher. Com 1 to 4 cents higher. Sorghum I to 4 cents higher. Soy beans 3 to 8 cents higher. Wheat bids gained strength on good overnight export business and traders anticipation of Fri day’s Crop Production report from the USDA. Egypt bought a substantial amount of soft white wheat overnight and a total tonnage of over 700,000 this week with South Korea, Japan and Mexico big buyers. Com and soybean tads were sharply higher today as short coverings were taken before tomorrow's crop production report. Com exports were very good this week and indi cations China has bought US beans was an added boost to bids. However, continued good crop conditions and cheap feed alter natives around the world, limited gains.
