AT A GLANCE:
Brown extra-large and large prices were
unchanged to higher in the New England
area, mediums were unchanged to lower in
the Northeast and parts of the Midwest and
Southeast, and all other prices were
unchanged. The market tone was fully
steady to firm for brown eggs, barely steady
to weak for mediums and steady on the
balance. Demand was light to good, mostly
moderate, and better where featured. Sup
plies of jumbo, extra large, and brown eggs
were tight to in close balance, mediums
were fully adequate, and adequate on other
sizes. Breaking stock supplies were adequ
ate with demand light for any additional
offerings. Spent fowl availability was suffi
cient for desired slaughter schedules.
