FEDERAL-STATE Trucklot buying
activity varied from light to fairly good and
centered mainly on the breast complex.
Wings were well balanced to closely
cleared. Leg quarters were adequate to fully
adequate ahd were clearing satisfactorily in
nearby production centers. Retail and dis
tributive movement was mixed and irregu
lar, but was sufficient to keep the bulk of
supplies in good balance to well cleared.

was unchanged. The market tone was
steady on the large sizes and weak on
mediums. Demand was light to moderate.

and most yolk trades were at the high side of
the ranges. The market tone was steady to
firm. Demand was mostly moderate. Sup
plies were adequate. Liquid and frozen eggs
processed under federal inspection in the
Eastern region for the week ending August
29, 1998 were 8% less than last week, and
6% less than the same week last year.
