Esßem Blackstar Elsie Sis, owned by Olivia Courtney, Man sfield, was named the supreme champion of the 1998 Tioga Coun ty Fair Open Daily Show. “Look what I found!” said judge Dwight Stoltzfus about the Hols tein senior 2-year-old as he named her the champion of her breed dur ing the two-day event held Aug. 14-15 at the Tioga County Fairgrounds. In the Holstein show, Court ney’s champion was followed by Got Wood D Holsteins’ Blue- Knoll Missy Ch-Tw, an entry in the six years and over class. The junior champion of the day also came from Esßem Dairy Farms. Hal Courtney’s spring calf, Esßem Astrc Dosy Daisy, com manded attention from the judge and took the top position among the calves and heifers. The reserve junior champion was Trisha McD wain’s fall calf, Cha Do Vintage Beauty. Continuing their winning streak, Esßem Dairy was also named the premier breeder of the show.
