A good percentage of the small supply was made up of high Choice and Prime cattle that sold mostly steady. The pressure was evident on the lesser quality cattle as buyers were conservative on the verge of the holiday weekend. A light test of Holstein steers were SO-1.00 lower and slaughter heifers were not well tested. A good offering of slaughter cows sold weak to 50 lower and slaughter bulls were fully steady.
