Correspondent TROY (Bradford Coun ty) Tri-Maple Imperial Dalila, * owned by Heather Pease, of Sus quehanna, was named the supreme champion of the Northeast District FFA Show held at the Troy Fair grounds, August 3. Pease’s 4-year-old Jersey rose to the top above more than 200 entries, judged by Kress Simpson of Mansfield, and Paul Moyer of Roaring Branch. Following Pease’s 4-year-old was the reserve senior and grand champion Jersey, a senior 2-year old, owned by Lindsay Place, of Meshoppen. The junior champion Jersey was Heather Pease’s Sweet Peas Renaissance Molly-ET, a summer yearling, followed by Thumper, a fall calf owned by Robin Wilson, of Rome, named the reserve junior champion. Holstein Craig Sheeley, of Troy, made his way to the champion ring in the Holstein show with Braund Valley Peanut, a senior 3-year-old. The reserve grand champion award went to Ryan Calkins of Troy with his 4-year-old, Calkins Farm Peake Ramona. The junior champion and reserve junior champion Holstein positions were captured by the brother-sister team of James and Heidi Alderfer of Athens. Heidi’s summer yearling, Du- Mar Broker Larrah, was named the junior champion, while James’ winter calf, Du-Mar Kemview FiFi, was named the reserve junior champion. Ayrshire In the Ayrshire show, Raymond Adams, of Montrose, showed the grand champion, BEKA Daffy’s Duclde. who won the 6-years, and- Tri Maple Imperial Dalila, owned by Heather Pease was named the supreme champion of the Northeast District FFA Show. FFA Show older class The reserve grand champion Ayrshire was Amberleigh Yurka nin’s Laneway Festival’s Novem ber, a 5-year-old owned by Amberleigh Yurkanin, of Colum bia Cross Roads. The junior champion Ayrshire of the day was William Ander son’s spring yearling, elm Brook Signature Gifted. Anderson hails from Tunkhannock. The reserve junior champion was EJ’s Ayr Willow Maggie, owned by Erica Jo Seman of Thompson. BROWN SWISS In a small Brown Swiss show, Michael Cole of Ulster won the grand champion ribbon with Vit ory Acres Legacy, a 4-year-old. The reserve grand champion, also the junior champion, was a winter calf. Elm Brook Ice Joce lyn, owned by Ambcrleigh Yurka nin of Columbia Cross Roads. The reserve junio champion was Elm Brook Signature Gifted, own ed by John Yurkanin Jr. of Colum bia Cross Roads. In the Guernsey arena/ the Shupp family of Tunkhannock took home all the honors. Dave Shupp had the grand champion with 2-year-old Shupps Delight Mr. Ben, and the reserve grand champion with his senior 3-year-old, Shupps Dollar Dividend. The junior champion was Char lene Shupp’s summer yearling, ESJ Caleb Helda. The reserve junior champion was David Shupp’s winter yearling, Shupps Dallas Dividend. Among the Milking Shorthorn animals, Samuel Cole of Ulster showed both grand champions.
