Delmarve Broiler
ATLANTA, GA.
AUGUST 27, 1998
DELMARVA BROILER/FRYER
MARKET. FEDERAL-STATE
Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
continued slow. Seller offerings were
ample. Live supplies were moderate;
weights ranged light to heavy. Processing
schedules were moderately heavy; howev
er operations were curtailed in the Caroli
nas due to the hurricane. Less than truck!ot
asking prices were 1 cent lower at 68 to 82
cents. Trade sentiment was weak. In the
parts complex, dark meat items were gen
erally slow in clearing with leg quarters
often noted as the most difficult to place.
Most other items were generally more than
adequate for the limited consumer demand.
