The annual alumni membership
meeting was conducted under the
direction of President Robert
Clark.
The Daily of Distinction farm
beautification program in Pennsyl
vania held their annual meeting
later in the day. This program has
now recognized nearly 700 daily
farms across Pennsylvania who by
the inspection of local judges have
earned the designation for good
looking, well-kept farms. The win
ners of the 34 winners this year met
to receive their recognition, an
11x14 color portrait of their farm
from Lancaster Farming, and
pose on the bam hill for a group
photograph.

Because of the importance of a
good first impression when selling
real estate to a prospective buyer,
this would mean an added $3,000
to $lO,OOO on the realistic asking
price for the farm. Braund called
this a tangible reward on top of the
value of giving consumers a favor
able impression of where milk
comes from.
Ag Progress Days were well
attended this year with record
crowds, especially on Wednesday.
The day was cool and clear and
exhibitors were kept very busy
meeting potential customers. One
equipment dealer reported that
sales arc really strong right now
because dairy farmers are looking
at favorable milk prices.
