August 19 is the deadline to
nominate high Parent Average
(PA) Jersey heifers for the 1998
Pot O’Gold sale.
The sale is scheduled for Satur
day, Nov. 7 and is a featured event
of the All American Jersey Show
and Sale, Nov. 7-9 in Louisville,
Ky. . .
To be eligible for nomination,
heifers must be bom after July 1,
1997 and before Feb. 1,1998, and
be sired by bulls with official
USDA summaries.
Dams must be officially ap
praised Very Good or Excellent
and be ranked plus over herdmates
for milk, fat, or protein produc
tion.
Parent Averages (PA) for the 16
heifers offered in the 1997 sale
were +1.281M, +43F, and +SIP.
Two heifers each sold for $3,400
to top the sale.
