DAILY NATIONAL GRAIN SUMMARY
Wheat bids turned higher due to some
overnight export sales to South Korea and
USDA lowering their estimate for 98/99 carry
over stocks to 819 million bushels Corn and
soybean bids fell moderately lower with only a
few export sales on the books this week and
good growing weather m the Midwest adding
pressure USDA's estimate for corn production
was actually lower than the July report Wheat
steady to 9 cents higher Corn 3 to 5 cents
lower Sorghum 7 cents lower Soybeans steady
to 7 cents lower Earlier estimates of 868 mil
lion bushels for wheat stock carry-over was
lowered to day by the USDA to 819 million
bushels, pushing wheat bids higher Light
export demand for all commodities this week
Soybean meal prices were lower again as
demand continued slow Corn production esli-
