When harvesting corn silage this fall, you need to think about how stable it will be next summer in the feed bunk. Yeast is a major cause of unstable silage. When yeast-laden silage is exposed to oxygen, yeast rapidly grow resulting in heating, spoilage, and nutrient loss.
