Gregory Hoover, extension ento
mologist in Penn State’s College
of Agricultural Sciences
“This exhibit will help home
owners and landscapers diag
nose problems on their woody
landscape plants,” he explains
“Once they’ve accurately diag
nosed the problem, they can
effectively manage the pest or
even take measures to correct a
cultural problem at the site ”
Visitors and hobbyists are
also encouraged to bring sam
ples of turf, plants or insects to
receive an on-the-spot evalua
tion If the experts can’t solve
