CATTLE Compared (o Thursday,
slaughter steers and heifers sold firm to
100 higher with the full advance
placed on the bottom side of the price
range The momentum was continued
after the market s spark late last week
Holstein steers sold mostly steady
with last Thursday s higher prices The
slaughter cow supply was not suffi
cient enough for a good market test
However, a good offering of slaugh
ter bulls sold steady to 50 higher Sup
ply included 61 percent slaughter
steers and 9 percent slaughter cows

CATTLE Compared to Monday, a light
offering of slaughter steers sold 50,
instances 100 higher Holstein steers
and slaughter heifers were not well
tested Trade was active for the small but
high quality offering, and many sales
were higher than the practical market
lop The slaughter cow market took a
fairly sharp drop with cows selling
1 50 to mostly 200 lower. espe
cially for the leaner individuals There
were not enough slaughter bulls on
hand for a market test Supply included
30 percent slaughter steers and 63 per
cent slaughter cows
