CATTLE; Slaughter steers opened the
week 50-1.00 lower, some rccovety late
found closing prices weak to .50 lower.
Holsteins opened steady with some late
sales 1.00 higher. Slaughter heifers
50-1.00 lower, but not fully tested after
Monday Cows weak to 1.00 lower, with
the decline mainly on leaner kinds. Bulls
fully steady. This week’s supply included
48 percent slaughter steers, 5 percent
slaughter heifers, 37 percent slaughter
cows, 4 percent bulls and the balance were
feeder cattle.
