dairy princess and her dairy
court were selected
The dairy princess candi
dates were interviewed by the
panel of judges prior to the
pageant Contestants for the
dairy princess crown were
Angela Adams, Karri Urpack,
and Abigail Wilson
Other contestants were Dairy
Miss Autumn Henning, Dairy
Maid, Bobbie Sue Adams, and
Dairy Ambassador, Stephen
Henning, Jr, each giving a
speech and each being inter
viewed by pageant emcee,

High School, and is the daughter
of Bob and Barbara Wilson of
Tunkhannock Abby is active in
school as a volunteer tutor at
the middle school, a member of

academic Honor Roll She par

has given her advantages that
make her feel rich in experience.
Angela Adams, daughter of
Robert and Rose Adams of Sugar
Run is finishing up her sopho
more year at Wyalusing High
School Angela recited an origi
nal and unique poem, given in
the guise of a librarian about the
fictitious beginning for the popu
lar appeal for milk and milk
products Angela is active in 4-
H, serving as the Wyoming
County Dairy club president,
and Wyoming County Teen
County Council vice president.
She was named the Wyoming
County's 1997 Outstanding 4-H
Girl She is a member of SADD
and Student Council, and also
active in her church Sunday
school program
This year Angela was select
ed to go the the 1998 Governor's
School, an intensive five-week
spent the week of July 19-24 on
the Pennsylvania State
University campus participating

study program at Penn State
Angela is looking forward to an
agricultural related career in a
science field Angela was
crowned second alternate dairy
princess.
Karri Urpack, a sophomore at
Tunkhannock Area High School,
is the daughter of Joe and Betty
Lou Urpack Karri is experi
enced dairy royalty because she
served as a dairy maid last year
While Karri was being inter
viewed, she credited her boss at
DaVue Holstems, David
Mattocks, as being the most
influential person to her His
hard work and commitment to
his business has impressed
karn, and inspired her to excel
in all she attempts to do
Karri is active as a member of
the Wyoming County Dairy
Club, Key Club Tunkhannock
H S Marching Band and the
varsity softball team. Karri pre
sented a skit portraying Louis
Pasteur and emphasizing the
importance of the pasteurization
process in making milk sager for
all to drink. Karri was crowned
first Alternate Dairy Princess
in the 1998 “Ag In The
Classroom” workshop. It was
sponsored by the Agriculture
