    Hayes Tours Lebanon Fair Addition
NORTH CORNWALL (Lebanon Co.) Sam Hayes, Pen
nsylvania secretary of agriculture at left, toured the addi
tions to the Lebanon Valley Expo Corporation exhibition
facilities Monday afternoon during the Lebanon Area Fair.
According to Richard Kreider, president of the expo, the
additions were finished Just before the fair began to the
beef/sheep barn. Those additions Including adding an
extension measuring 50 by 72 feet, constructed by volun
teers. The extension can house an additional SO beef cattle,
though the facility Is multipurpose, according to Kreider.
The $15,000 addition was paid in part by a $lO,OOO legisla
tive Initiative grant from the Dept, of Community and Eco
nomic Development. Approval was granted about three
months ago, according to Rep. Peter J. Zug (R-Io2nd), who
also attended the tour.
Zug was filming his monthly TV show, the “Legislative
Report,” for Cable Channel 23 In the county. The show airs
on Mondays-, though the broadcast won’t be for a few
weeks. This is the sixth year that Zug has taped events at the
Lebanon Area Fair.
