Skyline Acres recently con
structed a new 450 dairy cow
facility. Located near
Shartlesville. It is operated by
Ray and Glenna Hix, John,
Donna, Jennifer, Michael, and
Mark Hix and Terry, Kim,
Derrick and Laura Hix. A hand
out outlining the steps taken by
the family prior to beginning
construction and a breakdown of
individuals responsibilities
within the operation was provid
ed by Clyde Myers, County
Agent.

plete with moving vehicles and

and farmland on numerous

Chicken Bar-be-que and
Miniature Golf facilities, a local
business famous for its chicken
recipe provided the resting place
and final stop of the annual
summer event.

NORTH CORNWALL (Lebanon
Co.) Kyle Flecncr of Robcsonia on Monday
showed the supreme champion sheep of (lie
Lebanon Area Fair breeding sheep competition.
His Hampshire spring lamb, champion ewe of
its breed show, was named the supreme of the
breeds at the modest breeding sheep show held at
the Lebanon Fairgrounds.
The 4-H and vocational breeding sheep show
isopen to nine or more breeds, and the champion
rams and ewes from each breed compete for the
title of supreme champion.
In addition to the Hampshire sheep, breeds
exhibited were Southdown, Corricdale, and
Dorset.
In the “other" breed classification, Cassie
Schaeffer showed two animals to win champion
ram and champion ewe.
In the four-animal Coniedalc breed, Darrell
and Laura Martin showed their animals. Darrell
showed the champion, an ewe aged between 1
and 2 years old; while Laura showed the reserve
champion, a ewe of the same age.
In the Dorset show, Ann Leed showed the
champion and reserve champion. In the Hamp
shire show, Flccncr showed both champions in
the four-exhibitor contest
In the Southdown breed, Matthew Brown
showed the champion, a spring ewe lamb, and
the reserve champion, a yearling ewe.
