Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
was seasonally slow. Seller offerings on
the smaller sizes continued to be in best
balance; heavier weights tanged adequate
to available. Live supplies were moderate;
weights were mixed in a full range with
lighter weights becoming more available
due to increasing heat and humidity. Pro
cessing schedules were moderately heavy.
Less than trucklot asking prices were
unchanged at 66 to 80 cents. Trade senti
ment was about steady. In the parts com
plex, wings were readily available and
slow to clear. Thighs were no more than
adequate. Other items were generally
adequate.
