TEMPORARY REGIONAL
COMBINE OPERATORS
The combine operator will play a critical role in the operation, repair
and maintenance of combines during the harvest season.
Applicant must be able to operate and maintain a fleet managed corn
research plot combine during the fall harvest; perform research station
responsibilities as needed such as hand harvest, shelling and packaging
of seed; coordinate combine transportation and corn removal from
harvest site; travel and work 6 days per week and 8-12 hours per day
during September and October.
Applicant must be able to demonstrate competency with personal
computers and software systems; have experience in electronic and
mechanical trouble-shooting; ability to work outside and lift a minimum
of 30 pounds; work in varying ergonomic environments; and
demonstrate competency in mechanical and electrical ability. Combine
experience is preferred.
