facility. He’s been in the busi
ness for 18 years.
“Goat milk is easier to digest
than cows milk,” Zumas
explains. “I think it’s the drink
of the future. There’s a demand
for it in big cities even though
it’s a bit more expensive.”

areas.
Facilities for the co-op were
built more than 30 years ago to
serve as a milk collection site for
farmers handling milk in milk
cans. Currently, about 200 can
