Ferrie, field agronomist for
Farm Journal magazine, puts in al
most 150 test plots each year, test
ing everything from herbicides
and varieties to planters and clos
ing wheels. Data gathered in the
plot research helps fine-tune his
systems approach to fanning. As a
way to serve mote farmers, Ferrie
produces a Farm Journal video
