The 16-year-old and Alternate
Melanie Brockway will carry out
promotional activities in both
Beaver and Lawrence Counties.
Kristen is the daughter of Gary
and Debbie Morgan.
Melanie is the daughter of Alan
and Claudia Brockway.
Serving as dairy maids for the

Irish Hill Shamrock
4-H Club
The Irish Hill Shamrock 4-H
Club met at the Birchardville
Hall. The club members decided
which community service pro
jects should be held. The pro
jects that were chosen are giving
used toys to needy children and
giving items to the Humane
Society.
The elections of officers for
the 1998 session of the club was
also held. The results of the elec
tion are: president, Justin
Smith; vice president, Shaloam
Birchard; secretary/news
reporter, Liz Holbert; and trea
surer Chantal Birchard.

Rush United Methodist Church
Zachary Jones led the American
Pledge and Alyssa Jones led the
4-H pledge. Then the club mem
bers introduced themselves to
the new 4-H members. The sec
retary called the roll and each
member had to say their favorite
flower.
The club planned for the food
booth on May 16 at the Harford
Fairgrounds. The club members
discussed a teen sleepover at the
Sayre High School, the Leader
Recognition Banquet, Officers
Training, and Ambassador
Conference. Local Government
Day, the Shooting Sports Fun
Day, and Camp Brule were also
explained. Project books were
handed out by the leader.
The club met again in May
Wyatt Adams led the American
Pledge and Darren Chilson led
the 4-H pledge. Don Hardic gave
a report on the Leader
Recognition Banquet. It was a
great success. Ben Hardic and
Megan Wescott gave a report on
officers training and that also
was a great success. Camp Brule
was discussed.
The next County Council
meeting was announced On
July 22 there will be the one-day
trip to New York City. State
Achievement days is on Aug. 4-
6. Members must be 13 years old
and up to attend State Days.
