MONSTER COOKIES
9 eggs
3 cups brown sugar
3 cups granulated sugar
V* pound butter
2 pounds peanut butter
14 cups quick oats
6 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon com syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 pound plain M&M’s
'A pound chocolate chips
Use real butter only! Mix eggs,
sugars, butter, and peanut butter
with mixer. Add baking soda, com
syrup, and vanilla. Blend well. Stir
in oatmeal and candy by hand.
Bake at 325 for 8 to 10 minutes. Do
not overbake or cookies will be
hard. These are our favorite
cookies.

CHICKEN SPREAD
2 cans Underwood chicken
spread
2 8-ounce packages cream
cheese, softened
2 teaspoon parsley flakes
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 teaspoon soy sauce
Salad Supreme to taste
Mix chicken spread and cream
cheese in a bowl. Add mayonnaise,
parsley, and soy sauce. Sprinkle
with salad spread. Either roll into a
ball or place into a serving plate.
Sprinkle with a little more Salad
Supreme and chill. I chill over
night. Serve with crackers. It’s
delicious!
This recipe was given me from a
friend Angela who passed away
last year at the age of 40 with
breast cancer. The gift of a cow
item always seemed to put a smile
on Angela's face through her long
and tough battle of breast cancer.
This dip is a big hit on dairy
promotions here in Armstrong
County. I live on a 100-cow dairy
farm with my family. I'm also pres
ident for the Armstrong County
Dairy Promotion Committee.
In March 1997,1 met a dairy
farmer named Alfred Kammer
diener while doing dairy promo
tion. On Dec. 21,1997, he asked
me to marry him. We will be mar
ried Oct. 31.1 still will be living in
Armstrong County in Goheenville,
on Alfred’s Dairy Farm. Our wed
ding day with be a “mooey special
day!"

CREAM CHEESE CHERRY
DESSERT
l'/i cups graham cracker crumbs
6 tablespoons confectioners’
sugar
54 cup butter, melted
1 quart cherries
8-ounce package cream cheese
4 tablespoons Clear jel
4 tablespoons cream
Mix crumbs and 3 tablespoons
confectioners’ sugar. Add melted
butter. Mix well, then line a
l'/i -quart dish, using a spoon to
push the crumbs in the bottom and
up the sides of the dish. Set aside or
chill.
Make jam, using 1 quart cher
ries, thicken with about 4 tables
poons Clear jel. Cool thoroughly.
Mix cream cheese, 3 tables
poons confectioners’ sugar. Add
cream to spreading consistency.
Put cream cheese mixture into
the crumb lined dish. Fill with jam.
Top with whipped cream.
This is really delicious, all the
family enjoys it. We live on a
100-acre farm. Mostly we grow
tomatoes. Also corn and hay for
the livestock.

CHEESECAKE
16-ounces cream cheese
1 pound cottage cheese
VA cups sugar
4 eggs
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons flour
VA tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla
'A cup butter, melted
1 pint sour cream
Heat oven to 325 degrees.
Grease 9-inch spring form tube
pan. At'high speed, beat cream
cheese with cottage cheese until
creamy. Gradually beat in sugar.
Beat in the eggs until well com
bined. At low speed, beat in com
starch, flour, lemon juice, and van
illa. Add melted butter and sour
cream. Beat until just smooth. Pour
into prepared pan. Bake one hour
and 10 minutes. Turn off oven. Let
cake stand in closed oven 2 hours.
Remove cake, let cool completely.
Refrigerate several hours or until
well chilled.
/’ ve had this recipe for 34 years
and made it successfully several
times a year ever since. It was
given to me by my best friends’
(twins) mojther, Mrs. Louis Kocon.

CRISPY CRUNCH SUNDAE
2 tablespoons butter
'/< cup light brown sugar
1 cup rice crispy cereal, crushed
'A cup walnuts, chopped
'A cup flaked coconut optional
1 quart vanilla ice cream,
softened
Melt butter in skillet; add brown
sugar and heat slowly, stirring
until blended. Add crushed rice
cereal. Toss well to coat. Remove
from heat; add nuts and coconut
Reserve Vs cup cereal mixture
for topping. Spread remaining
cereal mixture in BxBx2-inch pan.
Spread ice cream on top. Sprinkle
the Vs cup cereal mixture over ice
cream. Freeze. Cut into squares lo
serve. Serves 9.

NUTTY FRENCH TOAST
12 slices French bread, sliced
1-inch thick
8 eggs
2 cups milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
'A teaspoon cinnamon
V* cup butter, softened
VA cups packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons dark com syrup
1 cup chopped walnuts
Place bread in a greased
13x9x2-inch baking dish. In a
large bowl, beat eggs, milk, vanil
la, and cinnamon; pour over the
bread. Cover and refrigerate over
night Remove from the refrigera
tor 30 minutes before baking.
Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl,
cream butter, brown sugar, and
syrup until smooth and spread over
bread. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake,
uncovered, at 3SO degrees for one
hour or until golden brown. Serves
6-8.
This is a recipe I just got out of a
magazine. I cut back on the sugar
as it’s on the sweet side.

QUICK TATER TOT BAKE
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
16-ounce package frozen
tater tot potatoes
1 can cream of mushroom
soup
V» can milk
1 cup shredded Cheddar
cheese
In skillet, brown meat and
onions. Add salt and pepper.
Put in greased 11x7-inch pan.
Top With potatoes. Combine
soup and milk. Pour over pota
toes. Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40
minutes.

120-acre dairy farm, this recipe is
quick and easy and a big hit with
the children.
We have four children. Katie is
10, Adam is 8; and Neil and
Nathan, are 5.
A farm is a great place to raise
children. They especially like the
animals and the stream.
It sure is nice to go to the milk
tank and always have a fresh supp
ly of milk. Happy deary month.

ICE CREAM PUDDING
60 Ritz crackers, crushed
impound butter
2 quarts vanilla ice cream,
softened
114 cups milk
2 packages instant pudding
Melt butter. Mix with crushed
crackers. Line dish with crumbs.
Save a little for the top. Beat ice
cream and add pudding and milk.
Freeze until set, then keep in
refrigerator. Thaw before serving.
Also good with fruit flavored ice
cream.
We live on a 50-acre farm in
north central Ohio and grow most
ly soybeans and corn. I enjoy cook
ing, gardening, crafts, and
woodturning.
We have four boys and three
girls from ages I'A to 20 years to

BAKED FRENCH TOAST
1/4 cups skim milk
4 large eggs
'A teaspoon cinnamon
4 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Bread
Dip bread into egg and milk
mixture. Arrange shallow baking
dish. Drizzle honey and butter over
top. Sprinkle with brown sugar and
cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for
30 minutes.
This recipe is good for break
fast. We got this recipe from our
grandma.

Crust:
VA cups flour
V* cup butter
Second layer
8-ounces cream cheese,
softened
1 cup whipped cream
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
Third layer
2 packages butterscotch or cho
colate pudding
3 cups milk
Fourth layer
Whipped cream
Mix crust and press into
9x13-inch pan. Bake at 350
degrees for IS minutes. Combine
cream cheese, whipped cream, and
confectioners' sugar. Spread on
cooled crust. Prepare pudding mix.
Put on second layer than top with
more whipped cream.
We live on an 83-acre farm and
milk 43 cows.
