Animal Medic Breaks New Ground MANCHESTER (York Co.) The Gladfelter family Larry, Sr., his wife Lois, and their son Larry, Jr., owners of Animal Med ic, along with Barry Noll, vice president; Terry Prowell, opera tions manager; Robert Jensenius, mal Medic in 1970, credited the good Lord, the perseverance of his family, great associates, and thou sands of loyal customers for creat ing Animal Medic’s success. The Drovers Bank is financing the project and the building is be ing constructed by Cumberland Building Systems. Gladfelter. who founded Ani and distributes animal health, pet, farm, and home supplies to veter inarians, dealers, livestock pro ducers. and pet owners predom inately throughout the Northeast via a fleet of 14 climate-controlled trucks. Animal Medic also has a pet supply store, provides a dog and cat grooming service, has a self storage facility, and provides a mail order service available to customers nationwide. Animal Medic started in the Gladfelter home. In 1971 they re located into a larger facility (the former Emigsville Grange Build ing) and opened a pet supply store and added additional staff. In 1973 they found it necessary to con struct the present facility that houses Animal Medic. When completed, the entire facility will be climate-controlled, with racked and palletized warehousing that service the needs of Animal Med ic and their customers into the next century.
