This spring I dug my flower
garden by hand. Then I planted
seeds and waited for them to
come up. Only a few were brave
enough to show themselves. So,
I re-planted, and now I’m wait
ing again.

Recently, I had a birthday
and was pleased to get phone
calls from our children and from
friends. One was from a lady
that I worked with in an office
some 50 years ago. We had trav
eled together over the UnitecT
States and into Canada. The pic
tures that we took have faded as
they were some of the first col
ored photos. Since then the
method of developing pictures
has been improved.
We spent to weeks on a pri
vate train as we traveled to
California. Nights were spent

sion is sponsoring a six-hour food
safety and sanitation training for
food handlers.
* HACCP-Based inspections
The two-day training will be
held at the Penn State Cooperative
Extension office in Honesdale on
June 22 and 29 from 9 a.m.-noon.
Participants must attend both days
of training.
