Prices were unchanged for whites, and
lower for whole egg and yolks. The market
tone was steady for whites, and weak on
the balance of items. Demand coveted the
hill range, and was mostly fair. Supplies
wen at least adequate. Liquid and frozen
eggs (ingredients included) processed
under federal inspection in the Eastern reg
ion for the week ending May 2,1998 were
3% gicater than last week, and 9% more
than the same week last year. Shell egg
offerings to breakers were adequate to
ample. Plants ran full to overtime sche
dules.
