DAILY NATIONAL GRAIN
SUMMARY
Sharp advances again for grain and soy
bean bids as weather conditions and some
fund buying on the board added support.
Wheat 3 to 7 cents higher. Com 3 to 6 cents
higher. Sorghum 11 to IS cents higher.
Soybeans 5 to 8 cents higher. Dry condi
tions in parts of the US Plains and wet
weather in the Eastern Com Belt region
continued to push wheat bids higher,
today. An overnight export sale of US
wheat to Taiwan was also a price booster.
Com bids Jumped sharply higher due to
continued planting delays in the Eastern
Com Belt. Wet weather delays have
sparked concerns over the potential for
lower yields. Additional strength was
offered due to some fund buying on the
Board. There are still no export announce
ments for com this week. Sharp grins were
seen in soybean bids in reaction to
improved soybean meal and oil demand.
Forecasts for drier conditions in the East
ern Com Belt next week offered some sup
port to bean bids as it cuts the risk of awing
sens going to oilseeds. Continued lade of
foreign trade for soy- beans, limited
upturns.
