Mike Cook. Again, Hartman
was the coach.
Fay Hajel, wife of William
Hajel, Rockwood and a secretary
for 23 years in the Meyersdale
Area School District, was named

Besides gardening, hiking,
biking, and canoeing which
Hajel enjoys sharing with her
husband, the recently initiated
grandmother collects Longa
berger baskets and is the moth
er of two adult sons.
Joanna Wilson, western
region vice president, and
Jessica Whiting, western region
treasurer, were guests at teh
58th annual banquet.
"The world is full of educated
derelicts," Whiting said, at the
beginning of her formal address.
She shared the true story of a
man who, though he had
achieved success, could not read.
Much later in his adult life he
did learn to read, but not until
adversity had forced it upon
him.
Tonya Sanner was crowned
the chapter Sweetheart.
