NATIONAL EGO MARKET - AT A
GLANCE:
Prices were unchanged to higher on the
lighter weights in the Northeast. Southeast
and Midwest except brown mediums in
New England were lower, and the balance
of prices were unchanged. The market tone
for white eggs was steady for the large
sizes, fully steady for mediums, and brown
eggs in New Erigland were barely steady.

Movement of rcady-to-cook whole birds
remained light and typical of midweek
activity. Offerings were fully sufficient to
handle current inquiry, live supplies were
moderate; weights were mostly desirable
to heavy. Processing schedules were mod
erately heavy. Less than trucklot asking
prices were unchanged at 56 to 70 cents.
Trade sentiment continued mostly steady.
In the parts complex, wings were in good
balance. Other items were in a range of
adequate to ample for a generally lacklus
ter buying interest

DAILY NATIONAL GRAIN
SUMMARY
Grain and soybean bids were moderately
to sharply lower, today, as good weather
forecasts and some profit taking on the
Boards pressured markets. Wheat 1 to 5
cents lower. Com 3 to 6 cents lower. Sorg
hum 8 cents lower. Soybeans 10 to 14
cents lower. Wheat bids dropped mod
erately lower despite good overnight
export sales. Favorable growing weather in
winter wheat areas and spurts of fund sell
ing weighed on bids. Additional weakness
was due to large stocks figures for World
and US wheat. Sharp declines in com and
soybean bids are seen as traders made cor
rections after yesterday's sharp increases
and profit taking was noted on the board. A
