market tone was cautiously steady to weak.
Demand was light to instances good, most
ly fair. Supplies were adequate. Liquid and
frozen eggs (ingredients included) pro
cessed under federal inspection iqthe East
ern Region for the week ending April 11,
1998 were 4% less than the prior week, and
9% less than the same week last year. Shell
egg offerings increased, prices were lower,
and plants ran full to overtime breaking
schedules.

large and extra large wen unchanged.
The market tone was steady to full steady
with mediums in the strongest position.
Demand was light to moderate. Supplies of
the larger sizes were fully adequate and
discounted in some locations to clear,
lighter weight eggs were in balance to
sometimes short of needs.
