slaughter steers and heifers sold 50 to
100 lower with moderately active
trading An attractive selection of Hol
stein steers sold mostly steady
Slaughter cows sold firm to 50 higher,
while slaughter bulls traded I 00
higher Supply was made up of around
62 percent slaughter steers and I
percent slaughter cows There was
good crowd on hand for the special
feeder cattle sale, held on Fnday the
17th. There woe several large con
signments from surrounding areas and
demand was good for all classes and
weight groups

slightly lower market, slaughter steers
sold fully steady Although, a good of
fering of high Choice and Prime cattle
sold mostly steady with last week's
prices Slaughter heifers were only
lightly tested The slaughter cow mar
ket was uneven, Utility and Commercial
cows sold firm to 50 higher, while
Canner and Cutter cows traded steady to

tion, wooied slaughter lambs were not well
tested and a limited supply of spring lambs
sold mostly steady. Slaughter ewe prices
were fully steady. Receipts have fallen off
sharply as most producers who were look
ing to sell sheep and goats in the local area,
did so over the last three weeks.
