CATTLE Compared to Thursday,
slaughter steers sold 1 00-2 00 higher
Demand was good, even for heavy
weight cattle which showed some sup
port for the first time in several
weeks An attractive 'offering of Hol
stein steers and slaughter heifers sold
2 00-3 00 higher Slaughter cows were
steady to firm, while slaughter bulls
sold mostly 50 to 100 higher Supply
included 60 percent slaughter steers
and 17 percent slaughter cows

CATTLE Compared to Monday,
slaughter steer prices were firm to 50
higher. Trade was active as aggressive
buyers paid premiums for much of the
fancy supply on hand Slaughter heif
ers were only lightly tested High Cutter
and Utility cows sold steady to 50
higher, while the thinner Canner and
low Cutter's were mostly 1.00
higher Slaughter bulls sold steady in a
light lest Supply included 35 percent
slaughter steers and 54 percent slaugh
ter cows

CATTLE: Compared to Tuesday,
slaughter steers sold 1.00-1 JO higher.
Trade was active with good demand, espe
cially for the plainer cattle which reflects
the narrow spread between Select and
Choice carcass prices this week. Slaughter
Keen were not well tested. Slaughter cow
prices were unevenly steady with mod
erately aclivfe trade, while daughter bull
trade was active with prices ranging
.50-1.00 higher. Supply included 34 per
cent slaughter steers and 30 percent slaugh
ter cows.
