market tone was cautiously steady.
Demand was light to good, but not meeting
pre-holiday expectations. Supplies were
adequate to ample. Breaking stock supplies
were fully adequate for the light demand
under a barely steady to weak market tone.
Offerings of light type hens remained
adequate to ample.

Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
was light and unaggressive and about nor
mal for midweek. Seller offerings were ful
ly sufficient for trade needs. Live supplies
were moderate; weights were mostly desir
able to heavy. Processing schedules were
moderate to moderately heavy. Less than
tmcklot asking prices were unchanged at
54 to 68 cents. Trade sentiment was gener
ally steady. In the parts complex, bone-in
breasts were in excess at several points.
Wings remained readily available and slow
to clear. Other items were fully adequate
