Select and Choice 2-3 slaughter sleets sold
fully steady, other odd classes sold weak.
The only cattle that received premiums
were the extremely high diessing/high
yielding types. Slaughter heifers were net
tested. Slaughter cows and bulls sold
steady despite lower boneless beef prices.
Supply included 49 percent slaughter
steers and 35 percent slaughter cows.

although the quality was much improved.
Slaughter ewes sold mostly 5.00-10.00
lower. Demand continues to be light for
this time of year under very heavy receipts.
This week’s sheep and goat receipts totaled
3,346 sheep and 3,431 goats at New Hol
land Sales Stables.
