Duroc/Hampshirc Spring Show
and Sale was held March 7 at the
Lebanon Area Fairgrounds with 65
head selling for a total of $18,318.
The show highlights the three
categories of breeding animals
bred gilts, open gilts and boars.
The top selling animal was a
Yorkshire boar consigned by Russ
and Randy Wilson of New Free
dom. It sold for $550 to Fleming
Brothers of Hampstead, Maryland.
Auctioneer for the show and
sale was Harry Bachman of
Annville, and show judge was Jim
McCoy of Ohio.
The spring sale and show is
sponsored by the Yorkshire Asso
ciation, which bolds a show and
sale twice per year.
Charles Hall of Centre County is
president of the association. For

The next show and sale is set to
be held at the Lebanon Area Fair
grounds Sept. 10,11 and 12, with
the sale held on the last day.
There were SO registered bid
ders for the auction, representing
buyers from nine states.
