NATIONAL EGG MARKET - AT A
GLANCE:
Prices were unchanged to higher for the
large sizes in the Southeast and Northeast,
and medium brown eggs were higher in
New England, unchanged on the balance.
The market tone was steady to fully steady
on the smaller sizes and steady to Arm on
the larger weights. Demand was in a full
range of light to good, mostly moderate,
and best where retail features were a factor.
Supplies on the West Coast were light, and
elsewhere, generally adequate with the
heavier weights in the tightest position.
Breaking stock supplies were generally
adequate for the mixed but mostly fair
demand. Offerings of light type hens
remained short to adequate.
