CATTLE; Compared to Thursday,
slaughter steers sold steady. This marks the
first time in several weeks that slaughter
steer prices opened the week without a
price trend reversal. Slaughter cows sold
mostly steady in f light test and bulls were
fully steady. This week's supply was made
up of around 58 percent slaughter steers
aAd 14 percent slaughter cows.

slaughter steers sold steady to firm,
demand was good for high dressing and
fancy individuals. Slaughter heifers were
not tested. Slaughter cows sold uneven,
Canner and Cutter cows were steady while
the fleshier Utility and Commercial cows
sold .50-1.00 lower. There were not
enough Yield grade 1 bulls sold for an
adequate market test

CALVES; Compared to last Tuesday,
vealets sold steady to 2.00 lower and
slaughter calves were steady in a light test.
Holstein bulls returning to the farm were
moderately active, but heifers wen very
active. Holstein bulls sold 5.00-8.00 lower
and heifers traded steady to 5.00 higher.
Supply included 690 head in the State
graded auction and 78 percent of the total
supply returned to feed.

CATTLE; Compared to Tuesday,
slaughter steers sold steady to weak. Most
of the weakness was noted on the light
offering of High Choice and Prime cattle
that sold only slightly higher than the bulk
of Choice sales. Heavy weights, over 1450
lbs, continue under pressure. Slaughter
heifers were steady to weak in a light test
