The Lancas ter DHIA has set the dates fo several PCDART Workshops. They are, Thursday, March 12, and Thurs day, March 19, to be held at the office/lab northwest of Manheim. It is possible that there may be overflow ses sions on Tuesday, March 10 and Tuesday, March 17. The sessions will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each day. A light lunch will be provided. March 12 will be an introductory session aimed at users who are relatively new to the system, or feel that they have not been using the system fully. It is also open to any wo are not currently using the program, or would like to see a demonstration of its capabilities. March 19 will be a seminar for experienced users. A focus will be using the program for herd analysis. Any imput from users on how you are using the program will be useful. There may be some who want to attend both seminars to make sure that you are not missing any basics, and yet want to know some of the advanced features. Due to the number of new yousers, there will be some repeating of information from last year, but there will be an attempt to avoid overlap between the two 1998 sessions. For reserva tions, questions, or sug gestions, please call the Lancaster DHIA office at (717) 665-5960.* After the Midwestern federal judge Doty ruled that the secretary of agriculture exceeded authority by unsatisfactorily justifying the setting of the Class I differentials, U.S. Secretaty of Agriculture Dan Glickman requested and was granted a stay of Judge Doty’s order. The stay was granted to allow the Class I differentials to be paid for milk used for drinking pur poses, until the appeals court can rule on Judge Doty's decision.
