NATIONAL EGG MARKET - AT A
GLANCE:
In most areas, prices were unchanged to
higher on medium, with large and heavier
sizes unchanged. However, in the Boston
area prices were lower on larger sizes and
unchanged on mediums. The market tone
was generally in a range of barely steady to
Arm with mediums and lighter sizes in the
best position. Demand was fair to good,
best where features were either in progress
or planned. Supplies were adequate to fully
adequate on larger sizes, and tight to
adequate on mediums. Breaking stock sup
plies were in a range of about adequate to
fully adequate for the mixed but mostly
light to fair demand. Light type hen sup
plies were about adequate to adequate for
processing schedules but at least sufficient
for finished product sales.

mediums, unchanged on balance. The
market tone was steady on the larger sizes
and firm on the lighter weights. Demand
was light to moderate, best where featured.
Supplies of large and extra large were
adequate to fully adequate with the fighter
weight eggs in the tightest position.
