LIONEL TRAIN PARTS
10 A.M. SATURDAY, FEB. 28,1998
RIDGE FIRE COMPANY
ALONG RT. 23, BETWEEN PHOENIXVILLE, PA. & RT. 100
IN THE BLUE ROOM: We are selling a varied collection which includes
Hubley & Tootsietoys, Chein, Marx & Japanese toys of all kinds.
IN THE PAVILION: We are selling the parts inventory from Felsinger’s
Railroad Hobby Shop. What are we selling? Very tough question! It looks to
us as if there are pre & post war Lionel parts in abundance; new, used & repro.
The repair operation depended on salvage to some extent, so many incomplete
locos & accessories are there. We see a couple hundred plastic parts cabinets
having their little drawers filled with new parts carrying catalog numbers. Not
many trains, really, except used modem era freight & passengers cars and a few
locos. Plenty of transformers. The work area containing tools & equipment.
Many steel shelves. Our process: we can’t sort there, due to the fact that we sim
ply can’t walk there. We intend to start at the door and load our 14 foot, 5 ton
super duty Ford to capacity for our first auction. Anything in our path gets
loaded. After auction no. 1, maybe we can get organized. We will try not to sell
any tools, manuals, catalogs or OB rolling stock in the first auction. All the sto
ries you ever heard about this place are true! It’s a miniature Madison Hardware
situation.
A 10% BUYER’S PREMIUM WILL BE ADDED TO ALL PURCHASES
