long celebration to mark the offi
cial opening of the New Milton
Hershey School (MHS)
Horticultural Center, March 2-
29. Grand Opening Month for
the new Center will kick off with
a small ribbon-cutting ceremony
for the school community and
invited guests on Monday,
March 2, at 2:45 p.m.
The celebration will culmi
nate with a two-day public open
house on Saturday, March 28,
9:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m., and
Sunday, March 29, 12 noon -
5:00 p.m. The public is invited

the second Annual Extension Ex
travaganza at the Dauphin County
Ag and Natural Resources Crater
on Saturday, February 28, from 9
a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Miss Pennsylvania, Heather Ni
cole Busin, will be the featured
luncheon speaker. Throughout the
day participants will taste test and
see how to make delicious healthy
snacks, make a craft using basic
design principles, leant techniques
for improving your self esteem,
and find out what the judges look
for when evaluating projects.
All 4-H’ers, 4-H leaders, and
young people interested in home
economics are encouraged to at
tend. The event is sponsored by

Trees," Herbs: Planting and
Using," "Butterflies," "Natural
Landscapes," "Fun with Honey
Bees," as well as many others.
Throughout the month of
march, MHS students will tour
the new horticultural center
with their houseparents and will
participate in a variety of
hands-on horticultural activi
ties. Learning projects will
focus on a different theme each
week, including "Planting
Spring Inside," "Planting
