muths, who have offered him the
auction part of Green Dragon.
Since their marriage, Jacy was
graduated from Millersville Uni
versity and teaches fifth graders.
She is also working on her mas
ter’s in education at Penn Stale
At an antique toy sale held recently at Green Dragon, John Hess auctions off a 600

teacher while serving as a dairy
princess. “When I went into the
schools and saw how kids
responded, I wanted to become a
teacher,” she said.
Since Jacy no longer has Hols
tein cows to milk, she jokes that
she has settled for Tucker, a Dal
mation dog whose spots remind
her of Holsteins.

Jacy, a previous county dairy princess and a state FFA
officer, Is a spokesperson for agriculture in another
respect. She is an elementary school teacher who Infiltrates
the agriculture perspective into many subjects. She Is also
a summer Instructor in agriculture and environmental edu
cation for Milton Hershey School. John said that farming
and auctioneering are similar because every day Is different
and challenging.
