the Family Living, Ag Learning
Area, and educational and enter
tainment presentations are sche
duled from Monday through
Thursday, with each day devoted

No Agricultural Event Compares To Farm Show
Tuesday is Pennsylvania Floral
Industry Day and along with a full
day of presentations by floral
design and care experts, there are
to be presentations of spinning fine
hairs, omements, folk music, and a
presentation on the world
renowned Martin Guitar
Company.
Wednesday is Youth Day and is
to feature the state’s top 4-H public
speaking contest winners, state
winners in a special “Products for
the Planet” contest; school agricul
tural education demonstrations;
and at 6 p.m., the state champion
ship bid calling contest, held by the
Pennsylvania Auctioneers
Association.
Thursday doesn’t have a special
theme, but will feature folk and
bluegrass music and a flower pre
sentation, as well as the third annu
al micro-pong table tennis

from our agrarian society, and
there arc not many places you can
go to, to get the same background
(in agriculture) as we have here.

•The Faun Show Complex is
located along Cameron and
Mad ay Streets m Harnsbuig,
just off exit 23 of Interstate 81.
•Parking is available on the
60-acie site for $5 per vehicle.
Overflow parking is offered at the
Harrisburg Area Community
College(HACC) with shuttle bus
service to the Mam Exhibit
Building fora fee. Handicapped
parking and access areas have
been expanded and can now be
found along the South Entrance,
the North Entrance and m front
of the Large Arena
•Lost children and parents should report to the State Police Command Center along the north yvall of the
Mam Building. Lost & Found items aie kept in the Farm Show Security Office, located in the corridor
between the Mam and North Buildings.
•The famous commodity food booths are located in the East Building, snack bars are located around the
facility, and a cafeteria on the second floor of the Mam Building offers complete meals and ala carte items
•The Emergency Medical Services Room with doctors, nurses and ambulance attendants is located on the
Lower Concoyrse of the Large Arena. ,
•Restrooms are located throughout the fiarm Show Complex-and most of them cßhTTgTrlfßlff!e?s"
Nursing mothers can find a quiet spot in the EMS room by the Large Arena.
•Coat checks are located in the South Lobby and Large Arena t The fee is 30 cents per item.
•Information booths and public pay telephones are located throughout the Complex
•The Director's Office and Press Room are located on the second floor over the Mam Lobby The Radio

While the number of entries
isn’t known until exhibitors bring
them to Harrisburg and register
them, the competition was
changed somewhat last year to
include educational displays that
also get judged.
